OUR BELIEFS

While we are happy to clearly state our beliefs on these topics, we also want to state that this document does not constitute a formal creed. For membership into His Church, we only require what the Bible requires for salvation. We do ask, however, that those interested in becoming active members of this local body to take our Explore Series in order to unite us in a common mission and purpose. Please check the Explore Membership tab for the date and time of our next Explore Series.

God:

The Bible teaches that God is Creator of our world and Sustainer and Lord of our lives. All persons of all races have been created in the image of the one and only God and stand in need of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ:

Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh. He is the one and only living Son of God and our Savior. Through Him, God opened the way of abundant and eternal life through His death, burial, and resurrection to all who call on Christ’s name.

The Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit is God himself encouraging, guiding, and transforming us in the way of Christ.

Salvation:

God sent Christ into the world to save sinners. We believe that salvation is open to all people and that all are called to this end. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ provides the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe.

The Bible:

The Bible is the inspired, written Word of God. It is the authoritative rule of faith and practice for Christians and the Church. Jesus instituted a new covenant with God that succeeded and transcended His former covenant with the People of Israel; hence, we accept the Old Testament as preparatory to the New and we rejoice that we are related to God through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and not through the Law.

The Church:

The Church exists to seek and save the world. Therefore we send evangelists to rescue the world through Christ. We participate in efforts to improve community life. We want to feed the hungry, offer hospitality to the stranger, clothe the needy, minister to the sick, and visit the imprisoned as Jesus instructed.
